Circuit Studio on Multiple monitors has issues.

lainscough_dfc

As a feedback to Altium, Using a laptop with a two screens with a second monitor has some strange behaviour when positioning Dilogs on the second screen as they jump about a lot when trying to position them.

It not really ussable.

Positioning the Main CircuitStudio on the second monitor is better. Just about.

Unfortunately I cannot capture this as a snap to paste here.

Again, there no way to feedback bugs to Altium, so this seems to be the best place. Hope that they read these when doing new releases.

I use 125% as Im hitting that age where eye sight starts to get worse.

My Display setup is:

    Hi,

I also have a laptop (an older HP EliteBook) and use an additional 2 monitors (so, 3 monitors in total).  I have not seen jumpy screens that you mention.  Occasionally, a dialog box ends up off the monitors and blocks operation particularly with the layer stack manager. I wrote about this a couple of years ago (https://www.element14.com/community/message/225274/l/mystery-of-the-multiple-monitors-and-the-missing-layer-stack-manage… )

This has not been fixed but we found a work around mentioned in the thread.  That said, I would suspect the issue you have is with a driver and not with CircuitStudio.  My settings are close to yours but a little bit more magnification since I have gone beyond the age of fixed focus eyesight.

    Hi all,

On a 2 monitor setup on a desktop PC I see no jumping about, almost everything works ok.......the only problem I see is that dragging a Pcb from one monitor to another doesn't work (I believe it did on previous CS versions).

    I am using Win10 and a GTX1050ti and a couple of Dell 2560x1440 monitors.

    Ian.

OK, thanks for trying. I tried using 150% but gave the same result.

The problem area if you select default is when you move any window, say Message to to right monotor but try to position it to the left side of the screen.

I have tried with two different laptops and get the same, HP and Lenovo.

OK, I can live with it.

    Thanks

    Lee

lainscough_dfc What release of Windows do you use? The build number is very useful if you can find it. Also the CS release.

    Thanks,

    Clem
