Can you export stackup table from the layer stack manager to one of the mechanical layers?
From the developers:
Click in the Layerstack table and press Ctrl + A to select all. Press Ctrl+C to copy.
Go to a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel and paste.
Set the font to Terminal, 16 Pt, click bold.
Select all cells and double click one of the cell edges to resize all the cells to the text size both vertically and horizontally.
Add an extra row and column so that you can crop the image more easily.
Make sure the spreadsheet cells aren't selected so their background is white and the text is black, then take a screen capture (PrntScrn button).
Paste into a bitmap program and save a bitmap such as a PNG file.
Go to the mechanical layer in CircuitStudio and press the Home > Image button, browse for the PNG file.
A bunch of copper regions will be created.'
You can move them all by selecting them all at once and click and drag, or for more control, press M (Move Selection) and then click the selection.
A PCB fab drawing with layer-stackup is always an important documentation output requirement
so thanks for a method to get this created. That said the result is less than optimal. The "image"
feature has such low resolution that the table looks rather sophomoric and non-professional in
my opinion, so I wouldn't consider this a viable solution. Not really sure what the low-res image
feature is intended for but certainly not text or logos.
I encourage the developers in future versions of CS adding a stackup drawing or fab drawing
output or a stackup table, similar to the drawing table below, that can be easily added to a
mechanical layer. A graphic of the stackup would also be helpful in this drawing. A bit of an
oversight here in an otherwise reasonably feature package for the price.
Altium has a mechanism to place the stack up table on the drawing, similar to drill drawing table placement. For now I prefer to create my own table, the import of pictures is sub optimal. I do not understand why such a simple utility was removed on CS.
