There are a couple of methods:
1-Go to the outputs tab.
2-Under Print, select default prints
3-Under Documentation outputs, select PCB Prints
4-Right-Click on a printout layer drawing and select 'Insert Layer'
5-Select the layer you want from the drop down menu.
1-Select the Home Tab
2-Under Project, select Generate Outputs
3-Configure the PCB Prints
4-Right-Click on a printout layer drawing and select 'Insert Layer'
5-Select the layer you want from the drop down menu.
I don't know how to make it default to these settings when you create a new project. Maybe someone else has another way to do what you are asking.
This had me scratching my head too. The "board shape" isn't generated on a physical layer so it is not immediately available for print output. However, you can generate a copy the board shape outline to any layer under menu "Home" -> "Board Shape" -> "Create Primitives From Board Shape".
You are given the option to copy to any layer, for instance "10 Board Outline" mechanical layer, with cutouts or other options.
Once you have the shape on a physical layer you can print it using Adam's instruction above or from a gerber viewer allowing you to combine the outline with other assembly layers.
You can also use this board outline to create a full copper pour on top, bottom, or any layer from "Polygon Pour" -> "Define from Selected Objects".
