CircuitStudio Update Schematic Issue

dcguthrie33

Using CS 1.3 build 26

When I use Update Schematics from the library editor, all the custom components in the schematics are changed, not just the affected component.

For example, I have a custom resistor and and custom LED in the library documents and 1 each is used in the source document schematic.

After making a change to the LED in the library editor and using Update Schematic, In the source document, the LED is updated and the resistor symbol is replaced with the LED.

I'm new to CS so I hope this is pilot error. Any suggestions how to fix this issue? I hope you don't have to delete and re-add components.

Thank you

Check your updates. The software can be set to check for new updates on the System - General Settings page of the Preferences dialog. Use the drop-down in the Check frequency field - in the Automatic Updates region of the page - to specify how often a check is made. Alternatively, access the Extensions and Updates area by clicking View | Start on the ribbon to display the Home page, then click on My Account and select Extensions and Updates from the drop-down menu. Once there, click the Updates link to access the Updates page for the area. Check for essay writing service reviews

    Thank you for your response.

I had checked for updates - I agree, that is good practice when there are issues.

Figured out that the issue may be in part due to pilot error. I was experimenting with CS features and had 2 libraries in the project with a single component in each library and used components from each library in a schematic in a project.

As noted, when I updated the component in the library and used Update Schematic caused the issue.

If the components are in a single project library, the Update Schematic works as expected - only the related component is updated in the schematic.
