Solder Mask rule for vias and pads

opeongo73

I would like to have my THole pads with a pull back of 3mils and the vias tented by -1mil. I can't see any way this can be done

as vias don't come up in the selections. You can It select each via and do it but that's crazy.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Here's an example of how to setup a rule that has -1mil clearance for pads with holes, and the default 4mil for SMT. Save it in a .RUL text file, add more lines or changes those to get what you need then…

Hello, just use PCB Filter. Than you can select Vias or Pads. Than you can edit tenting within PCB Inscpector ( F11).

Hello: I set the pcb filter so it only shows the vias i.e. (815 objects have passed the filter).

I opened the PCB Inspector and set it to vias (display only). However, nothing shows up except the message "No objects selected"

Yet the PCB Filter says the 815 vias have been highlighted.

Am I doing something wrong here?

When you have vias filtered with PCB Filter,  you must select them all ( ctrl + A ) or drag a window around them in main window. They should apear in PCB Inspector .
