PDF Schematic Output job

jimku

In CircuitStudio, I am trying to setup my schematic page output job (Project - Generate Outputs - Documentation - Schematic - page setup) to Leger(11x17) but this is not a selection. This is a common size to output schematics since most office printers have this size and its twice the size of letter size (8.5x11). I can directly print to this size using the Print documentation but would like to generate a pdf using the output job. Am I missing something in a setup somewhere?

Do you mean tabloid size? For the above I had my printer set to Microsoft Print to PDF as the driver. This is set through the Outputs > Print. Just in case it is the driver selection that you have.

Yes, tabloid size. The second part of your answer may be the clue to getting it to output the tabloid size. I do not have "Microsoft to PDF" printer selection available. I did a web search on why and found that I need to install the driver but still cannot find the driver to install. I have windows 7 and somewhere I read that the Microsoft pdf driver is only supplied in windows 10. I may need to find a different PDF driver to install and see if that will work. It's strange in that I do not have a PDF driver selected but I am able to output a "letter" size pdf but not a "tabloid" size. Thanks for your answer. I think that I will be able to find a pdf driver and hopefully that will work.

FWIW, try Foxit PDF reader/editor.  It has a limited free version that works for me.  I think it works in Win7. You can find it with reviews on CNET.
