Hello, is the circuit stuido the possibility of creating groups of components when designing a PCB that holds the position towards each other? If not, is this feature going to be implemented in future releases?
Hello,
In CS it is not as easy to do as in full Altium Designer. In Altium the terminology is a union. In Altium it is possible use the mouse to drag a window about a group of parts in the PCB layout and create a union of the parts that is then locked together.
However, you can use cross-probe functions to select parts on the schematic and then move them together on the PCB. It probably won't move routed tracks though and it isn't as functional as unions. This is probably one of the features that intentionally differentiate the CAD packages. If this is enough of a productivity issue then you can pay for the upgrade to full Altium and get this along with better polygon management, 3D placement of designators, layer sets, flex circuit support, etc..
