There is a PDF document that describes the differences between AD and CS. I don't see a date in the document but it does say that CS does not support automatic teardrops.

Thanks to modern PCB production methods teardrop pads are rarely required. Well, maybe if you are designing motherboards or flex circuits.
However, if you like the look of teardrops as a workaround you can ask your PCB fabricator to teardrop the pads for you (by editing the Gerbers).
