Export STEP from CircuitStudio

Hi

I have an issue with converting my PCB design to a STEP file.

I have imported a dxf file of my board shape. The board shape is working in the Circuit Designer.

When I export it to STEP to check the size in my other CAD program the shape is change.

The Attached file is my Board Shape

Here is the result

What am I doing wrong?

Best Regards

Unfortunately we don't have access to Google drive so please could you attach as a ZIP to the post and perhaps post a screenshot highlighting where the shape has changed.

You are not doing anything wrong, it is just the STEP export is a little fussy. If you take a very close look at the DXF once imported into CS you will see a disconnect where line segments meet. Concentrate on the areas when the outline has gone wrong in your drawing. If you slightly move the live segments so the ends meet this will fix the STEP output.

    Hi Peter.

    Thanks for your reply!.

I have tried it out and it works. !!

I am not sure this is the right way to do it. I will check it out with my mechanical engineer, to see if there is any other possibilities when the export of the dxf is been done.

    Best Regards
