Why is Circuitstudio not automatically removing loops during interactive routing

For example, see video below (increase resolution using settings if the video is fuzzy):

 

 

 

Any idea why this is the case?

    Hi Tom. There are a couple of placed you need to check to make sure loop removal is turned on.

     

    #1: File > System Preferences : PCB Editor > Interactive Routing

    #2: Turn on the PCB Nets panel

    and then right click on a net and select the loop removal option

    Hi thanks for the tips   -->  I didn't realize you could toggle loop removal on a per-net basis.  That doesn't seem to have been my issue however.

     

    I ended up figuring out that the loops were being removed, but only if the new track that that I was routing was terminated at an endpoint of the existing track for that net.  So, in other words, if I went to connect a track to the middle of a long straight track, the loop that was formed would not be removed, however if I connected the same track to the end point of the long straight track, the loop would be removed.

     

    See below video for proof.  I think this can officially be considered a bug.

     

    I should note that the auto-router also falls victim to this foolish bug, as after auto-routing I have many useless loops that seem to have been routed.

    Thanks for the video. I haven't been able to reproduce your results of the loop removal not working as it appears to work even when routing into the middle of a segment. You can get strange results when there are already loops in the net - could this be the case?

    There were no pre-existing loops in the net in this case.

     

    I just re-opened CircuitStudio and followed the exact same steps as shown in my above video, only this time the loop appears to get removed as it should.

     

    I'm guessing that this is an intermittent heisenbug in CS.  I'll try to remember to post back here if I encounter it again.
