CS Always Crashing

Hi

 

Not sure if this is the support page or not? Can't seem to find anywhere on Altium's site for it

 

My copy of Circuit Studio crashes ALL THE TIME. It's really frustrating. I can get about 20 mins into a design and then it will crash. Sometimes without any error codes.

 

I can't even seem to update the program, as it will keep the update button greyed out.

 

Does anyone else get this issue?

    Hi Chase and welcome to the CircuitStudio support forums. CS crashing like this is not normal, do you have any more details about what you are doing at the time, what triggers these crashes and what form does the crash take. Also it is just one design or does it happen for any design you are working on?

    Hi Peter,

     

    Thanks for your reply. It seems to be behaving now. I have had it crash a lot over multiple projects. This time I was doing the following (I believe):

     

    1. Install multiple new schematic/PCB libraries from Mousers library loader

    2. Place a component

    3. Crash

    4. no error codes

     

    I found that if I had the schematic sheet and project saved, it seems to be OK.

     

    I think it always seems to be related to libraries for me
