I have uninstalled and re-installed the third party software and checked and tried several scaling options including both mm and mils for my  DXF file  and it still does not work.  Each time I load my DXF file it changes my board shape and my DXF outline does not appear anywhere on the screen. Is there a solution to this issue?  I use Solid Edge to generate my DXF files.  I have even load the DXF file back into Solid Edge and it works just fine.  Is it poi

I also use Solid Edge (2D) and DXF import works fine, although first time around there are some gotchas.

    This might help:

Thanks for trying to help me ... i am very frustrated at the moment trying to get a board outline into CS...  I have tried what is suggested in the link you sent and it still does not work.  Each time it loads the DXF file it changes my current board size to something ridiculous and the DXF outline I am looking for does not appear at all.  This is a basic function that should work perfectly with a DXF file and it does not, is there any way to a support person who can help. I have spent now two days trying to get this to work and no luck at all.  i have tried to down load my DXF file but the system will not allow it.

Ok .... i was finally able to get it to work .. by turnig on all the layer it brought in to the outline layer and it finally worked.

This was quite a time waster but i know now what to do to get my DXF file in from Solid Edge 2019.

    Thanks for your help

Good to hear that this is resolved.  Some bonus info that may be of use to other users: if you're having problems with the board outline being changed (as I had yesterday), create a new empty PCB document and import the DXF into that, then copy/paste into your 'real' PCB.  Specifying the layers to import to would probably circumvent the board-outline issue but I haven't played around enough to know exactly what's what.
