I have many schematic designs currently in Protel Schematic 98 format and would like to know if it is possible to import them into Circuit Studio.
Thanks!
Thanks for that - I tried it just now. But my schematic design is in Protel 98, not 99.
The import dialogue listed several possible file types to open (*.DDB, *.CMPcbDoc), which is not what I have.
In Protel Advanced Schematic 98, schematic projects could have either a .prj or .sch extension.
I tried opening the *.sch file, but got this error: "<my file>.sch has an invalid format!"

Do you know anyone who has access to a version of Protel 99, as I am pretty sure it will import 98 and this would then enable to to transfer to Circuit Studio.
I am using circuit studio to move our legacy designs from Prote99 to a supported package so we can update them. It is not seamless but does seem to work once you work through the import problem.
If you want to check you could send me a 98 file and I will see if Protel 99SE will import it. However if you have lots of files I am not a CAD house, so do not want to be at it for hours.
