Gerber Files

Hello,

I am having an issue on circuit studio. After i create the gerber files, i am sending that to our PCB manufacturer. Sometimes they are making some changes and sending that files back to us for to be sure about if its ok to proceed manufacturing. But i can't open that files sometimes. Is that about version or anything else? I would be glad if you help me to understand the problem. Thank you.

Yes, as mentioned you need to use a Gerber viewer to look at the files.  There are a number of free ones.  However, unless they told you what was changed it may be very difficult to spot the differences from your originals.  Hopefully, they sent you screen shots and notes about what they changed.

    Without promoting a manufacturer:

Several of the online PCB manufacturers have an online renderer. These are usually good at taking Gerbers of many sources.
You collect the fabrication files you got back from your manufacturer (Gerber and drill), and upload it to their portal while pretending to create an order.
They will then render the different layers, with drill holes and mechanicals (clearances, ...). You don't have to complete the order to see the results.

I used the customer portals of OSHPark and Seeed with success - just for viewing.
