Altium Content Vault Exceptions every time I try to use it.

Last night I tried to place a part from the content vault and received an error each time. The part I'm trying place is AD7147. The vault doesn't have the exact part I need but there are several that are close and will work.

I get an error every time but the error messages are different. The following are two examples:

Access violation at address 0D8C364E in module 'EDMSInterface.DLL'. Read of address 247CFF14 at 0D8C364E.

I have checked for updates etc... Everything says it's current. My subscription is current. My internet is decent. My internet is not the fastest but has been reliable. It's good enough for netfix, zoom, and VPN.

I can make my own parts and such but not having to make most of them would be great!

    I gave up on Vault pretty quickly after starting with CS. I don't know if it's a fault in CS, or if the repositories aren't being maintained properly, but it often locks up and then crashes CS - just not reliable enough to risk losing work. Another problem E14/Altium is too busy writing confusing press releases to address.

    Symbols and footprints are often supplied by manufacturers/suppliers (E14, Digi-Key) either directly as Altium .IntLib or via Ultra Librarian which can be imported as PCAD .lia files. There's also Altium Design Content (https://designcontent.live.altium.com/) and SnapEDA (https://www.snapeda.com), both free to register.

    The parts might need to be checked/tweaked, but at least they don't crash.

    Same problem.  I attributed it to trying to run CS via remote desktop.  Did not have time to pursue it.

    Now I realize that occurs with normal, local use.

    This raises the question of support and E14's role.

    Can someone from E14 investigate this problem?

    Until this recent problem, I had been running Vault most of the time.  On startup, in the left pane, I choose generic components then quickly hit the search tab at the bottom and quickly (again) type in some characters and quickly hit search.

    After Vault returns with a "cannot find" from my random entry, I can then search successfully for anything.

    I've left this session of Vault open (with auto collapse to the right tabs) for many days successfully.

    But, it definitely needs help.

    Not sure but I believe it may be gone from later versions of AD.
