CircuitStudio purchase - BIG license issue(s) and warning

Hi,

 

i just bought a CS license from Farnell. But there is a HUGE issue with license delivery

 

1. I bought the license this week and got it today (24/9/2016) - but license start date is the 20/09/2016 and order date was 23/09/2016?) - are you shorting out peoples licenses on purpose? A year should be from the day YOU deliver - not the day I order or some arbitrary date before my purchase. I have never seen that before.. Not even by Adobe.... -

 

Sorry delete - i should have read the document/email - it is a jump start license until I get my own...

 

but still leaves last issue:

 

4. License expires?? Does that mean I cant use CS after the expiry date if I do not buy "maintenance? " - I'm sorry but I was not aware that it was a subscription ONLY product and it would stop working after the initial period. I could not find that described anywhere.

 

If the Product will cease to work one year after purchase  - then please refund me the CS package and I will buy Proteus instead.

 

I have deleted the license from my computer

    Seems like element14 still has not been able to get the license generated within their 2-3 day estimate. Ordered on 10th of May still haven't received on the 15th and they could not tell me when I would receive the License because the person overseas who issues the license was on Holidays.

    I have asked to cancel the purchase because no one could tell me if or when I receive the licence I would be able to access the greyed out parts In Altium content Vault or if there was a problem with the Vault because I keep getting errors if I access 99.9+% of components that are greyed out. Let me know when you have the licensing issue sorted.

     

    Element14 are very good at getting parts across the country next day.

     

    Software should only take minutes to generate a licence.

     

    Altium need to fix this so Element14 does not get blamed for it.

     

    You are a software company write a program so they can log in fill out the license details online and issue a license if you guys are too busy.

    Hello Illya,

     

    I've just checked your license and it appears to have been issued to you today. If you did not yet receive your email with the link to activate your account, please contact Element14, who have your unique activation link, and can answer your support questions etc.

     

    For the vault you need to find a component that the footprint is used, i.e. the CMP- component with a blue icon, place that into your schematic and then use Project > Update Board to get the footprint onto your board. The Where-used function can find it, please see screen capture.

    All working and got my Vault question answered I just needed to understand the logic.
