Adding Foot print to SchLib

In a SchLib tab I Right-click on the designed SchLib (I created)
->Tools

->Component Properties

 

Then under Models I press Add
I then choose Footprint to add a PcbLib but the window never opens to let me link the SchLib and PcbLib

 

Am I missing something?

    I'm not 100% following your steps, but I found one way to see this. While I have the SchLib file open, in the SCH Library panel I double click the component name. In the Models section, click Add and a dialog appears with a list box.

    The options list Footprint twice. If I choose the second one then nothing opens, but the first option works.

    Can you try the first instance of Footprint and see if it opens this time?

    We got to the same place but some reason it wasn't working for me. i tried all the options, but somehow i messed up. Thanks.

    Hi Nick,

     

    Thank you. Let me know if it gets in the way. It appears to be easy to avoid. There were some changes in the library area to display the list of footprint names better when browsing footprint libraries so I am keeping my eyes out for anything like this.
