Replacing parts in a schematic

Is there a way of swapping parts in a schematic? say you have a resistor and realise you need to change the value or a zener diode. The symbols are identical they will just carry different part numbers.

I don't believe there is a dedicated swap part button, the way to achieve will depend on your workflow. For example you may have one generic resister and just alter the value parameter to change resistance value and select a footprint from options that have been assigned. Other people may have a complete library of every possible resistor as a separate symbol and then you will need to delete and add the new part.
