Can anyone from the Element14 (or Altium) team give the community any idea on what plans are in place for a next revision to be released? Since we're coming up on the 6 month mark with 1.4 I figured this is a good time to at least ask the question.

Element14 Team... I know you are watching new posts/questions and answering them. So I really hope you can give some sort of update on this question ASAP. I was just asked by my superiors today if we should continue our subscription with Circuit Studio or revert back to Autodesk's Eagle. Autodesk has been rapidly updating/improving their software and has resolved many issues we used to have. I still see some merit with Circuit Studio with regards to 3D development and BOM management. But I am losing confidence that will be the case going forward. Please let us know what kind of update/bug fix support is in the works!
My confidence is pretty much gone now. Unfortunately this software could fill a good void in the EDA software world, but with lack of support and a roadmap, I am predicting update 1.4 may have been the last update we will ever see with the product.
I think that's the problem with this model of Altium providing a product and e14 providing support.
Element14 can't update the software and Altium can't answer questions or provide support.
It is a broken model.

I suspect that the break in the model is that Element14 has not paid Altium for any updates past 1.4 and Altium isn't going to give them any more updates until they get paid.
The other interesting thing with this model is that Altium ultimately can decide what features they will or won't provide to Element14 in the Circuit Studio package. Remember, they don't want to cut into their Altium Designer sales too much.
Like I already written elsewhere, my guess is that since the programmers that are working on CS are from the same teams that are working on Altium Designer, and given the amount of issues they have now with Altium Designer 18, there is no way we will see a substantial update anytime soon.
Maybe they will throw together something fast made from easy to solve bug fixes and call it an update, something like 1.4.2, but not something ground shaking.
All we need to see is how things evolved since the release of this software. The guys from Element14 are trying, maybe even some at Altium but those who call the shots have their priorities and focus on Altium Designer 18, the Altium flagship software.
All you need is a bit of zoom out and looking at the big picture.
From my point of view, for the moment I found only annoying bugs and some crashes but not so often, so one can work with CS. Not to mention the affordable price.
On the other hand, while Altium CS is on standby with no improvements or bug fixes, Eagle is running fast and at this rate it will not take long until we will see a shoulder to shoulder fight.
Honestly, with Altium CircuitStudio forgotten by developers or remembered like an afterthought, I see no reason for further paying the maintenance/subscription once it ends. I don't use the vault.
Wow. I find your lack of even attempting to answer the question, a telltale sign.
I will likely not be participating in the Element14 community any further once my superiors allow our CS subscription to expire.
The question has been answered numerous times, just nobody likes the reply. At this time Altium do not make available a roadmap. Having said that we fully expect there to be updates.
The question has been answered with "we have updates coming soon".
Yet here we are...
I agree with your assertion that no one likes the reply, "Keep paying for maintenance and we promise there will be updates someday."
Who knows, maybe Altium marketing tries to "milk" this and what we see as difficulty for CS they may see it as opportunity to sell AD. Just a wild guess ...
In any case, seeing that they've tried to sell you AD when you are complaining about CS, does show something.
