Can't edit traces

Is it me or is it so much hard work to edit traces? should I be able to edit traces with filters active ? it's just a night mare. I broke a diff pair of traces so I could edit them (because they don't actually behave like a diff pair once routed anyway) and had to break the trace to reroute it. I could join the traces back together by starting from one side only, the other would not let me, just me or a shambles?

Not sure why you are struggling, could you post or email a short video to understand your scenario. Just tested by breaking a net (one segment deleted from a diff pair) and it would let me pick up from either side to start a route. Also whilst routing you can use shortcut key 9 to jump to other end of the ratsnest to continue routing.

Well I manged it eventually but it just did not seem to want to understand what I was trying to do. Edited traces go grey when the filters are on leading to confusion.... does CS support videoing or would I need to find a third party program to do it?

As far as I am aware a filter does not stop you routing. You would need to use a third party app to record any video.
