updating board file after adding component?

I feel kind of dumb, even being a noob to the software. I cannot figure out how to update my PCB document. I added a component to my schematic but I just keep clicking through the menus trying to figure out how to get the footprint/component to show up in my existing PCB document.

 

I saw where I can view differences, which it shows one component and two nets, but I just don't know how to push the changes to the board
