The real-world component that gets mounted on the circuit board is represented as a schematic symbol during design capture, and as a PCB footprint for board design. CircuitStudio components can be stored in local libraries, or they can be placed directly from the Altium Content Vault, a globally accessible component storage system that contains thousands of components, each with a symbol, footprint, component parameters and links to suppliers.
Not shown on this video but something well worth knowing. In addition to the Vault there are a huge number of free downloadable libraries from the Altium Design Center. Login to your Altium Live account and visit https://designcontent.live.altium.com/.
