The aim of this Application Note is to provide a tool for a calculation of power losses in IGBT-based power
electronics converters used in automotive applications. After a general discussion on power losses
calculation using data-sheet parameters, the typical applications will be reviewed in order to extract the
application specific parameters important for the loss balance.
