  • I am have a problem with a garage opener.  It is old and I can  no longer find any reemotes that will work with it.  I purchased a new receiver and two remotes; however, when I try to opeerate the door, the pulpse is too short. It loooks like it is only colsing for about  a quarter second.  I think the output contact will have to stay closed for about a half second.for the door to operate.    I have been looking at a card that may work, OC2022  I would apprecciate your comments,Do you know of anything that would work?   I appreciate yor help.  Sincerely,Wayne Kincheloe, PE

    Hello Milburn,Unfortunatley Molex does not specialize in Garage Openers. I can not really assist you in this. If you had a question about a connector or a terminal that is in the garage opener it's self I might be able to assist you. Sorry we could not help. Good luck and I hope you can find the answer to your question.

    This may not be a technical question about one of your products, however i'm doing a project on writing an Industry Overview and need some information regarding Molex.

    Would Molex be considered as an OEM or an ODM company? and what services does Molex provide to its customers?

         We would generally be considered an OEM though from time to time we do manufacture private label products.   Molex is a leading one-source supplier of interconnect products focused on the design, development and distribution of innovative product solutions.     Does Molex offer Mini-Fit Jr. connector housing in black? I have only been able to find natural colored connectors thus far.

         Molex does offer Mini-Fit Jr. Connector housings in black. I have included links to 2 Mini-Fit Jr. Drawings. They both indicate the part numbers for the "black" versions.  View this linkhttp://www.molex.com/pdm_docs/sd/050361683_sd.pdfand also this one.

     

      I am not sure what circuit size or orientation you are looking for so please go to our Mini-Fit Jr. overview page (here) and from there you can use the "Refine Search" to help you narrow down your part number based on circuit size and orientation. You can then look at the drawing to find the black version of that part.  I hope this helps.  Let us know if you need help locating a supplier that carries the part you find.
