Custom Circuit Board dimension and outline

Hi

currently there are CAD files available for 4 personality mods, all of them are using the same plastic shell - the PCB is adjusted for this plastic, so it is not possible to derive the proper outline for custom circuit board that does not use this plastic shell, any plans to make this information available soon?

I think we have what you need posted now. Please take a look at the additional downloads available here: https://developer.motorola.com/build/mdk-user-guide#downloads

See this section on creating your own custom circuit board: https://developer.motorola.com/build/mdk-user-guide/custom-circuit-board

There's no CAD, but the dimensions are all there for you to easily start.  If this is insufficient, please let us know so we can fix it.

This is not enough there to create proper design template.

We are creating Altium Designer templates right now and using all available to us information, we are close to the state that we believe we are "close enough" to correct dimensions, but we have way to make sure it is correct.

We have imported the EAGLE PCB from the modo-mods, those are however ALL using the personaltiy mod PLASTIC, so the outline of those CAD designs is not the same as the outline for the ones that do not use the personality mod plastic.

We would be very happy to provide those templates for everybody to use freely, well if we get them done correct in the first place.

Of course it would be very nice if there would be possibility to buy the personality mod plastic shell +screws as KIT as well, right now we are considering two types of personality mods:

    1) PCB only, similar look like the "perforated board"

    2) with the personality mod plastic, but in this case we would make the PCB to fit the "audio mod" plastic, and end user would have to buy the audio mod only to TAKE the plastic away and assemble it to our product as shell

those are "prototype" level products we are developing right now image

That is what was missing mostly yes. Really nice to see the personality mod STEP model also fit nicely our PCB image
