Magnets and Pogo Pins

lllars

I'm thinking about developing my own moto mod and am looking for some info on the magnets and pogo pins.  Is there a specification for these somewhere that I missed?

For the magnets, I'd like to know required strength and typical dimensions?  If there is no spec, does anyone have info on the ones used in the MDK and other curretly available mods?  Also, is there a way to shield the magnets so that the back of the moto mod is not magnetic?  For example, I noticed the style shields are only magnetic on the side that mates with the phone.

For the pogo pins, do we know the part numbers of those used in the MDK, and/or any of the other commercially available mods?  Or is there a recommended specification for pin force, travel, etc?

Thanks,

Lars

Thanks guys. The mu metal is a good tip. For the rest, I guess I'll have to wing it. I did some searching for pogo pins and found the Mill-Max 0965-0-15-20-80-14-11-0 They are intended for surface mount…

Mu metal can minimize the magnetic field on the side you wish to shield.
