Dear friends,

 

Würth Elektronik just released a new sofware tool - the component selector - which is a all-in-one design solution for ferrites, transformers, power inductor and RF filter designs.

 

  1. Inductor Selector
    With this software you select a suitable inductor for non-isolated DC/DC converters in a second. After entry of input voltage range, output voltage and current, a list with all suitable inductors is shown. You can sort this list or narrow it further by individual filter criteria. For all inductors the wire and core losses are simulated, and the estimated temperature is calculated.  
  2. FLEX Transformer Designer
    This is a practical application for quick and easy determination of suitable transformers out of the WE-FLEX and WE-FLEX+ product range. These flexible transformers have six individual windings that can be connected by the user individually. By entering input and output voltages as well as output current, the suitable components including the windings configuration are determined.  
  3. RF Inductor Finder
    Choose inductors for high-frequency applications with this program. In the graphs it shows you the inductance value, Q factor and impedance at any frequency to compare and analyze them. Furthermore very complex filter criteria can be set to determine your suitable inductor.  
  4. Chip Bead Ferrite Selector
    The Chip Bead Ferrite selector is the software for designating the best suitable ferrites for your filter application. The technical values and characteristic curves of all chip bead ferrites of the WE-CBF series can be easily compared and analyzed. You can search for impedances at each specific frequency and filter as well. This very complex filter criteria are easy to handle. Existing filter settings as well as DC/DC converters can be saved and reloaded later on. Furthermore you have online access to all data sheets of the articles listed in the software. S-Parameters can be downloaded, too.
