Help w ceiling fan cap

ral411

I have an outdoor ceiling that has failed and want to switch out the capacitor and pull chain switch.  I have searched anywhere and everywhere I know to look.  It appears they no longer manufacturer this particular capacitor.

It is a CBB61 with two orange 600v wires on the one side and on the other side it has:

Yellow @250V  5uF

Purple @250V  5uF

Red .@ 300V   4.5uF

Is there anything that I can safely use to get the fan working working and can you

Point me in a direction to find get one?

Sure appreciate any assistance I can get.image

Thank you sir, That's exactly I was wondering but wasn't confident enough to risk it. Very helpful and I appreciate it.

    Hello Rick,

If the diagrams printed on them are accurate, the new one should work by wiring it in a way that matches the capacitances of the old one -see below diagram-

My suggestion was to connect three discrete capacitor values corresponding to those required. A lead from each capacitor would be common, with the other leads used for each capacitor value. The solution may take up more space that available. The alternate capacitor suggested may fit the bill better.

Thank you for the input and you are correct the space would not accommodate the three especially trying to get it wired and installation.  Maybe a professional but not this jackleg!  Lol

Thank you for the input though!

I am not sure of the dimensions just looking at the picture. In my search for alternate capacitors I came across this site that looks promising. https://www.gladiatorlighting.com

A search for ceiling fan capacitor return a fair number of hits like the picture displayed.
