With saturation currents up to 13 A and the extremely small package size of 4838 (4.8 × 4.8 × 3.8 mm) are special features of the SMD storage inductor in the WE-SPC series. Its magnetic shielding creates a low-level stray field so the chokes can be used especially in portable devices like cell phones, digital cameras, PDAs, PCMCIA cards or switching controllers. Low internal losses and a high self-resonant frequency favor these applications.

 

With the special design of these storage inductors, Würth Elektronik optimizes their soldering properties and realizes a constant saturation behavior. The reflow soldering procedure is recommended for components of the WE-SPC series.

 

The series includes 19 types with inductances of 0.22 to 100 µH and a RDC of 0.014 to 0.85 Ω. Its specified operating temperature range is –40 to +125 °C.
