Which PCB Fabrication / Manufacturer do you use?

There are a lot of different vendors out there that you can send your design to, but who do you use? I have no idea.

I'm interested in your opinions, good, bad, or ugly, and your experiences with them?

Was the cost affordable?

How was the quality?

Did you change from one manufacturer to another for any reason?

Did they give you any feedback on your design?

How fast did they provide them?

Any opinions are valid, I'm personally interested, and also we want to improve our PCB Prototyping content on the site regardless of who people currently utilise.

  • JLCPCB is super-fast (like most of the prototype PCB manufacturers), typically taking less than a couple of days to manufacture the prototype boards. However I recently made a rookie mistake, adding a quantity of 50 boards to an order (they are small adapter boards for SMD SOIC/TSSOP). When you do that, then that part of the order is no longer considered a prototype, and it then takes about a week to manufacture the 50 boards, i.e. the rest of your order of prototype-quantity boards will be held up, since of course it is all shipped as a single bundle.

    Just an FYI in case people have very time-sensitive prototypes, then it's probably a good idea to separate the small quantity prototype boards into a separate order.
