Salutations I am a student at Northern Arizona University,


      I am currently a participating in a robotics competition. I have a degree in Mechanical engineering and I am currently pursuing a second degree in computer science. The robot we are making for the competition is a soccer playing robot this is my first time doing programing like this. I have an understanding in Python and Java. We are using a Raspberry Pi 3 for the brains of the robot. I have installed Raspian and Retropie on-top to facilitate in creating a way to communicate wireless through Bluetooth. I am confused on how to create a program to create methods to layer onto the button events.

 

     Can someone help with documentation I have been searching the web and I have not been successful in acquiring information on the subject at hand. I need an angel, who is out there that can help.

    There isn't a single source of documentation, but if you let me know what programming language you're using, and more detail about precisely what you're looking for, then I can help. Right now I'm confused because I can't see how Retropie is relevant, nor whether you're referring to button events from a connected USB or Bluetooth keyboard, or from switches wired to the 40-way GPIO connector.
