In last years I used most time used Raspberry Pi for some kind of long-term automation. For example, last few months two of my Raspberry Pies was running experiments (one Rpi 4B and one 3B+) to evaluate…

I already have a Raspberry Pi Zero; I tried desktop on it, but Zero doesn't have processing power, which is why I need a Raspberry Pi 5.

I would probably set this up as a server to receive weather information, and display it on a smart mirror. It would get weather info from the home built station in my backyard.

I would love to see how Windows 10 or 11 would run on this new Pi. Possibly install it on a NVMe drive using the new PCIe interface, when the boards and adapters eventually come out. I also want to see how far I can Overclock it. I know people have got it up to 3 GHz. I want to see how far I could take it.

Raspberry Pi 5 will be my next Home Assistant server. Currently I’m using a Raspberry Pi 4 at home and a Raspberry Pi 3B for my parents home.

I have an old Riotboard with some websites running on it and I would like to run the home assistant on it because it isn't running on this board.

I am thinking of using this Raspberry Pi 5 as a Control Unit for a model racing car that must drive autonomously using an AI trained through imitation learning that runs on the Raspi. this driving model will be optimized for the hardware present on the Raspi in order to have enough fps to try to make the car drive correctly. The Raspi will be equipped with 2 cameras, a gyroscope and a GPS module to solve this outdoor problem.
