After the flurry of unkind remarks about the RPi over the last couple of years it is good to see a way to show how the RPI can take a kicking and keep on ticking. Yes, it is a bad pun, but you have to…

Awesome! I'm working on a smart alarm clock which updates the time of the alarm based on the best train connection possible (taking into account possible delays). This should allow the user to sleep as…

    Hello!

I am working on project “Entertaining robotics” which is aimed to popularization of robotics among young people in Russia.

“Raspberry Pi: first contact” is one of the main directions in our project. We provide text and video instructions for people who never before deal with Raspberry Pi. This platform is not popular in Russia and there is not enough learning materials in Russian language. We try to fill this gap. Now we have 3 lessons and we plan to make 10-12 lessons more this summer.

You can see posts devoted to Raspberry Pi here.

For example first, second and third lessons. It is about very first steps in Raspberry Pi.

All video are avaliable on youtube.

For example video from the first lesson:

    Hi there,

I am currently developing a system to use RPis/RPi camera modules to construct a low cost scientific camera array that will allow successive image captures time resolutions ~10 microsecond range. If the time resolution is good enough, I plan to use the array in experiments involving dynamic holographic phase imaging of micro-structural material properties.

Also, you should always let the pretty young women model your prizes. Makes awesome prizes look even more awesome.image

    Greetings,

I have a model B, XBMC Kit, a Pi cam, a PiRack and ChipKit Pi . I use it as a test platform,  a learning platform,  and an entertainment device. The fun never ends with this device.

So, I guess when it comes to the Pi you can say. "I come in pieces".

    Sorry,  inside joke. image

This may be a tad too geeky but a football is a really useful prop to explain symmetry groups and show how many hexagons & pentagons are needed. It's about camouflaging maths in a familiar 'everyday' object to engage school pupils with maths in the 'real world'.
