After the flurry of unkind remarks about the RPi over the last couple of years it is good to see a way to show how the RPI can take a kicking and keep on ticking. Yes, it is a bad pun, but you have to…

I'm currently working on a Raspberry Pi-based musical instrument. I'm taking readings from multiple SR-04 distance sensors then converting the readings into numbers to be used for generating tones. It's kind of like a theramin but using ultrasonic distance measurements. It's written in Python and is currently breadboard-based but I'll eventually convert it into strip board. (The football will be used as a prize at a Cambridge Raspberry Jam) :-)

Portable digital scoreboard for local youth sports. Something with 2 large LOL shields to display the score. A Pi camera for taking stills and short videos to be uploaded to the various schools, clubs, etc. With a Thermal Printer to print out coupons of various sponsors, game highlight results, and maybe even Bitcoin donation receipts image
