PiRack and PiFace Digital 2

Hi, I purchased 2 x PiFace Digital 2 and 1 x PiRack thinking that the the PiRack would extend the RPi to allow 2 x Digital 2 's to be connected. I have been trying to find doco on the web to see if the Digital 2 are compatible with the PiRack.

 

The main issue appears to be that the jumpers on the PiRack prevent the Digital2 from being fully connected to the GPIO pins.

 

Can anyone advise if the PiRack is compatible with the Piface Digital 2, or is there a new Rack that is not on Element14.

  • The PiRack is meant for the earlier PI's, not the B or PI2, one of the things that also changed was the use of the SPI lines etc. in some situations you can get the PI Rack to work but with board shapes and other factors it is probably not worth it

     

    If it is simply multiple PI Face Digital boards you want and your using a PI 2 then your best bet is the new PI Face Relay and Extra relay board, these have upto 8 relays on one board level and are also aparantly stackable so you would not even need a PI rack
