Camera and sound project

Hello,  I have no knowledge of the pi but I was wondering whether it is possible to press a button and record say, 10 minutes of Video & Audio to its SD Card.

Which model of pi would be suitable?

 

MotionEyeOS look promising.

 

I can't help thinking somebody must have done this.

    Yes, it possible to do that without many troubles using a simple python script. I'm referring Python because it's well supported and there's python libraries to control the camera. Don't know about the sound - I'm used to use the Picamera, that doesn't has a microphone..

     

    MotionEyeOS i think is more than you need here and I don't think there's a possibility of doing what you want with a button. Probably there is, but people with more experience than I can give their opinion. It's more for surveillance than small scripts. I think you can record whatever time you want ! .
