Purchased pi 3 kit with noob sad card doesn't boot

i purchased the pi 3 kit with noob SD card and box. Plugged in  keyboard, hdmi, supplied sd card with Noob and power and all I get is a colored screen. Only red led is turned on.

    You must get the latest noob card because even as the PI 3 was being shipped, several "fixes" were already sent out. My suggestion until things get caught up, go to for your https://www.raspberrypi.org/downloads/ for your use. Here is latest released same day as Pi. My guess yours earlier since they are pre built earlier than Pi 3 release. BTW, it is not the fault of distributors, but the people who write the software getting in one more fix.image

    Ok. Downloading the latest version. It's just that one assumes that the shipped version will work with the shipped end product specially when they are sold as a kit.

    I agree, the sold SDcard w pre-installed NOOBS should work automatically and directly out-of-box in the board (RaspberryPI 3) if/when explicitly orderd with and for it. I will cancel and return my card if it does not run in my RPI3 w/o modifications or tinkering..
