As far as I know, and I've been trying to pre-order it since this morning, in Portugal there is just no way we can pre-order the Raspberry Pi.
Is there any information on when will it be availiable for Portugal ?

Hi apocsantos,
I'm from Portugal too, I tried all morning, and I managed to reach the checkout page. The strange thing was a statement that Portuguese Farnell site don't sell to private buyers, only companies. Another thing was that minimum total amount for a order was 30 euros (excluding VAT and postage), Raspi is 27 euros!
So I am also need to know who we can buy a RasPi in Portugal.
Hi Both - thanks for joining the group and for posting your questions - let me take this back to the team and see what I can find out for you about getting the Raspberry Pi in Portugal.
Obrigada!

Hi all,
I've seen that same information, but since I own my business (gree receipts), one of the problems is already "solved", since as I read Farnell ships to Portugal for Individuals like me (single individual company).
For the 3 euros extra (to make the 30 euros), I was trying to by 2 Raspi's so that woldnt be a problem for me. (One for research at collage, and another for work).
Anyway the Farnell website looked like it was "down", I kept reciving the same error message, over and over, and couldnt get to the checkout page.
It's nice to know there are more Portuguese interested in this stuff!
For sometime I thought I was "alone"...
Hope to hear news soon
Best Regards,
António Santos
Yes António looks like there is at least 1000 Portuguese interested in this stuff (based on the number of views of this post).
It would be great if we at Portugal implement this devices in our schools to promote computer science education, but the politicians we have, it will be very difficult.
I think we are looking with a new segment emerging, like it happen with the netbooks and after it the pads.
Maybe I'm wrong but I predict that more and more products like this will emerge in the market
There are now some interesting alternatives but much more expensive:

A promising project is Allwinner A10 but looks like it is a early stage of development.
"The first product will be an EOMA-68 CPU card, using the 1.5ghz Allwinner A10 ARM Cortex A8. Thanks to the low cost of the Allwinner Cortex A8, mass-volume pricing (just for the CPU card, and therefore excluding tax, shipping, profit, a case and a power supply) looks to be on target for around $15: 40% lower than the raspberrypi which is only a 700mhz ARM11 and is therefore at least three times slower in processor speed than the Allwinner A10."
Take a look at (http://rhombus-tech.net/)
Hi Carlos,
How about the shipping costs from Lenave are they reasonable?
