As far as I know, and I've been trying to pre-order it since this morning, in Portugal there is just no way we can pre-order the Raspberry Pi.
Is there any information on when will it be availiable for Portugal ?

I've Read Farnell's information about sales to Portugal, the restrictions do not aplly for those who work on their own company.
And how many people do you think have their own company? Companies aren't exactly the target audience for the Raspberry Pi. I think the Raspberry Pi foundation made a very bad choice going with RS and Farnell. I bet RS and Farnell didn't tell the foundation that they refuse to sell to the target audience in a lot of countries.
Lets wait and see for some news from Farnell.
Farnell usually avoids discussing that topic. The best you can hope for are some pointless excuses, like "legal reasons".
Hey Tugas,
The Raspberry Pi site is back online Eben and Liz is answering the comments.
Take some time to read them.

They will speak with RS and Farnell, next week, to address our actual problems in ordering Raspi boards. The
Nice to know Ricardo.
Some portugese ppl are "forced" to work on green recipts, an legaly they are a "company". So Farnell cant use that excuse. We pay taxes like any company (IVA, IRS, TSU), we are our own "employer" and so on... You know the Portuguese reality.
I agree that the Raspberry Pi foundation maded a realy bad choice with Farnell and RS, but what can we do ?
Lets wait and see what the foundation will do about this.
Best regards,
António Santos
In Italy is the same, no sell to individuals.

Well at Sunday I received a email from Farnell stating that a pre-order is open just for me. Following the link a managed to make my pre-order.
They charged 6 euros for VAT (fair enough) but they charged also 9 euros for delivery charge. It' s very high for a item so light. They state that is a express delivery! but I'll have to wait for it 2 months! If I have to wait so long I dont mind waiting another week for receiving my Raspi in normal mail.
At the Raspi Site Eben Wrote :
"Both partners have worldwide distribution networks, so wherever you are in the world, you will be able to buy from a local distributor. This will save you money on shipping"
Eben got this wrong, if I ordered something from england I pay only 2 to 3 euros in postage. But at the Portuguese Farnell I have to pay 3 times more!
It Shoul be a option to send by normal mail,
My RasPi cost a total of 42,30 euros

Hi Raul,
Yes a saw that message too, I ignore it and follow to the end of checkout.
The checkout process is still from the standard site of farnell so it's asks for company details, Try to put that account number that they suggest.

I didn't pay yet at the first page wen I follow the link from the email its states:
The price shown below is inclusive of Sales Tax (VAT) and delivery charge. Your credit card will not be charged until your order is dispatched.
uh...ok. tanks for the help Ricardo, but i see i will have another problem... i was intend to use MBnet... wich only have a month expiration date! if the order takes 2 ou 3 months they won´t be able to receive the payment at the time...i think i wait another 3 or 5 months, and hopfully all this buzz around the RPi would calm down and there will be more stock available.
best regards,
RL
