As far as I know, and I've been trying to pre-order it since this morning, in Portugal there is just no way we can pre-order the Raspberry Pi.
Is there any information on when will it be availiable for Portugal ?

Hi everybody,
I was very exited on Tuesday afternoon, because of the announcement on Raspberrypi.org, but Wednesday morning the excitement was over. I couldn't get any Raspberry Pi.
Also very interested on this incredible machine, so count me in for the order, please.
Best regards
Hbatista
I don't know Ricardo, i go directly to Lenave.
Hi Luís
No luck here! The first batch is sold out
! And people that managed to pre-order are getting estimates, from Farnell, to delivery in mid of May. So I think the rest of us will have to wait at least 3 to 4 months to receive one.
I hope that Farnell at end will do a dedicated website to sell Raspi's without the limitations they have for now, for many local sites, for ordering products from them:
- Sell only to companies
- 30 euros minimum orders
- 15 euros shipping cost (this value I get to simulating a order of another item at Farnel site)
Hi Nicole,
I'm sure that Farnel team have more important issues to manage right now, after the "storm" they had on February 29.
I just hope that PremierFarnell manage to arrange a simpler and cheaper way to sell the Raspi outside UK
I'll be waiting for good news
Thanks for your attention

If my information is correct, then Farnell in principal refuses to sell to individuals in Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Norway, Portugal, and Sweden, and there are restrictions in Belgium and the Netherlands.
I know that Farnell in Germany has for ages received requests to reconsider this business-only policy, but doesn't care less. It would be nice if they finally reconsider instead of using their standard excuses.
I've Read Farnell's information about sales to Portugal, the restrictions do not aplly for those who work on their own company.
My idea with the Rasperberry Pi is to use it as a portable system, that can be used at collage, and so on. Also I do plan to test it running Emergency Managment Software, as a proof-of-concept, that portable low power systems can run the software and be used in real resque operations.
I'm using the HawkBoard, the Beagle Boardxm and the BeagleBone, but they are expensive for some projects, so they cant be used that frequently.
Lets wait and see for some news from Farnell.
Best regards,
António
