What is the process for ordering Raspberry Pi units from the United States?

I know my question is early in the product development sales process.

  1. What are your thoughts on individuals or companies in the United States who desire to order Raspberry Pi Version B units?
  2. Do you have plans for a U.S. Distributor, i.e. Fry's Electronics or Best Buy or Amazon?

The Raspberry Pi is a British engineering project.  Farnell and RS Components are both UK companies selected by the Raspberry Pi Foundation to market the Raspberry Pi computer.  Farnell's US partner is Newark and RS Component's US partner is Allied Electronics.  Go to www.newark.com or www.alliedelec.com for the sole US distribution outlets of Raspberry Pi.  On the Newark site the part number is 83T1943 which you can search on very easily but they are not currently taking orders.  Allied only takes emails addresses for future notification at www.alliedelec.com/raspberrypi .   Good luck!

Hi...   First post!  image  Thanks, VERY MUCH, for the links.  The Allied site let me order the Pi, on backorder. I guess I'll see how it goes.
