Is there some sort of Raspberry Pi VM anywhere? I was planning to use the VM on Oracle's VirtualBox, and just wanted to see how it works, or how well it works.

Check the documents section.
Last row "Technical Documents" and again last row there should be some links to the video's by Liam. First one is right on target.
