I would like to voice my opinion concerning the ordering process. It seems that Newark wants to be fair and sell the boards to the first come first served. They have taken on a big task but I applaud them for doing their best. However, are they? To add to the confusion I received an e-mail that said we have held your place in line and that all I have to do now is "click here" or the "Buy now" link, both taking me to another message saying basically the same thing, that they are sold out and you will be placed in the order according to your registered interest.
Well, to be truly fair, Newark should consider acquiring the list of Registered Persons on the official Raspberry pi . org website. I am sure many of you (including myself) registered there BEFORE any of the distributors were even mentioned (Newark and RS).
Yes, I will be patient and wait my turn to order just like many others. I am simply suggesting an option to be FAIR for the "interested" people out there!
