Hi shangcan ,
If you go to the top of the intro Raspberry Pi page , look for the tab marked " Oveview " , click and scroll down the presented page , you will
find all the Raspberry Pi Video tutorials on the right side of the page , the relevent information can then be found .
Good luck .
Calling them Raspberry Pi tutorials is a bit misleading, they are mainly Python tutorials and are not done on a Raspberry Pi or by a member of the foundation although Liam is now involved with the download section of the site as a result of his work I believe.
The original image burning tutorials using dd are also a bit over technical for the beginner when the same could be done with the nice Win32DiskImager GUI which is also free and alot more reliable than the current Fedora Installer which does not work on Win XP and does not like gaps in the path name.
The GParted tutorial could also have been done simpler if you had done his earlier tutorials and installed Virtual Box. GParted can be installed in the Virtual Linux and run from there without using USB keys and reboots.
I am not knocking Liam, I learn a couple of VirtualBox tricks from watching them but those expecting to see a working raspberry Pi and how to get one running will be disappointed..
Hi Shangcan Cai,
There will be a webinar run right here on element14 to go through programming the Raspberry Pi. You can register here: http://www.element14.com/community/view-event.jspa?event=3282
I guess this might be at an inconvenient time for you given your in China, but the recorded session will be made available on the community so you can watch it on-demand and ask any questions you have via the forum.
hope this helps,
James
