Not sure if ordered...

Hi!

A couple of weeks ago I think i pre-ordered a Raspberry Pi, but I did not get any verification e-mail or any comfirmation what so ever. At the time i ordered I didn't have an account either.

Are you supposed to get any comfirmation e-mail after you have placed your pre-order? Can you even order without an account? Will I get further notifications and need to comfirm my order before it is shipped to me, or will my bank account just be charged when they send it?

hi there,
i ordered a few weeks ago too. all i got was a order number on screen,but no conformation email.

i think once there is a Pi available, your order is assigned to that and you will get to order a Pi.(i think)
i also dont have an account,so i cant track my (pre) order either.

I don't believe I had an account when I ordered on March 3. Later, I created a Newark account and somehow managed to attach the order number to that account (maybe because I used the same email?) I cannot recall the exact process but I was successful and I do recall it didn't take more than a few steps. Now I can login and (obsessively, daily) check the status of my order, which is still vague and "16 Aug 2012" ship date.

You're probably right about the confirmation once it ships idea, since that's when they actually charge your credit card.

I can't believe that I am saying that I am jealous of those people with a ship date on their order status page at Newark. I personally ordered at 8am on 29 Feb and to this day my order status on Newark's "Canada" site still shows "back-ordered" with no date at all.

@Kevin, On Newark you have to click on the PO number on the order history to see the revised ship date. At least thats how I get to see it.

I assume you ordered at Newark US. I ordered on Newark Canada. I've been to the page you are talking about and I have no date at all. I've asked Newark a few times for clarification but I never get a real response.
