Not sure if ordered...

Hi!

 

A couple of weeks ago I think i pre-ordered a Raspberry Pi, but I did not get any verification e-mail or any comfirmation what so ever. At the time i ordered I didn't have an account either.

Are you supposed to get any comfirmation e-mail after you have placed your pre-order? Can you even order without an account? Will I get further notifications and need to comfirm my order before it is shipped to me, or will my bank account just be charged when they send it?

    Thanks for asking your questions, because I went the pre-order route in early March as well and never received a confirmation e-mail.  Then last week I decided to log-in to catch-up on the latest news about the RasPi being received by Element-14.  That's when I learned that my pre-order was just that... meaning my shopping cart showed I had placed an order for the RasPi in my shopping cart but had not completed my order with my credit card info, which is pretty odd, because I'm sure I entered all that info at that time.  Wish I had saved a screen shot from that night because I'm pretty sure I had entered all that credit card data at that time.   Although I'm a bit disappointed, there's nothing to prevent me from developing some RasPi apps on my Linux box in the mean time.  I hope it helps to know others have experienced the same thing and makes it a little less frustrating...     Pardon my sometimes insuficcient knowledge of the english language, but if I understand correctly you didn't complete your (pre-)order and therefor will not be recieving any Raspberry Pi(e image) and you think the same might have happened to me? Did you place another order after that? Or did you do anything else?

    if we have a (pre) order number, can we phone somebody to find out a rough delivery date ? as i have no idea how far in the line i am for one.image

    I ordered and got a (pre) order number.

    Because of the confusion, I contacted them and they assured me I'm ordered and I would receive a full confirmation with delivery date this week.

    How did you contact them? I have searched the site, but I cannot fint any e-mail adress or any contact information at all image
