How about posting confirmation numbers when people receive their R-Pi's. That should give us some idea of expected delivery time.
Example: My Conf # is 191353. I saw a post that 160xxx has received his. That gives me about 31K to go.

Douglas,

True. Try twitter to element14. That seems to be working great.
Silly questions, but is it simply a matter of putting your question in the "tweet to Element14" form at this link?

Thanks

Nick,
Yes, I believe so. You'll also want to "follow" element14 on that page,
so you can do DM (direct messaging).
Coder27,
I have done this a couple of times now and yet to get a response. I guess they choose who they answer.
Kevin,
That's strange. Was this one of your inquiries:
http://twitter.com/#!/element14/status/206008963303612416
If so, it looks like they received it and are working on a response.
Hi
I've sent them a message, so we'll see if they respond.
Thanks.
N.
Just received my Pi today. I ordered from Newark via phone the morning of Feb. 29. I already had an account set up and received an email a couple of hours later to confirm the order. Expected ship date shifted around the next three months. On May 1, I received a "Great News!" email that said: "We're excited to inform you that your Raspberry Pi will be delivered in an upcoming shipment beginning the week of May 29th. We will have your firm delivery date, after manufacturer confirmations are made..."
On May 24 the board was shipped and I received the two emails that are sent for a delivery. The first had the Shipping confirmation and the second was the Invoice confirmation. Because of the USA Memorial day holiday I received the package on May 29 (a day later than it probably would have been delivered). So, Newark actually shipped to me a little earlier than they originally informed me.
The Pi came in an anti-static bag inside a white "element14" box which was inside a shipping envelope. It arrived in great condition.
Order Number: 163XXX
Ordered from: Newark, USA
Delivered to: Virginia, USA
SN: FN120528401
Last expected ship date: May 29, 2012
Actual ship date: May 24, 2012
Arrived: May 29, 2012
Cost: $35 + $5 Shipping + $1.75 State sales tax
I'll never really truly understand how Newark is working. I ordered as well from them early morning of 29 Feb, got an order number of 1621xx. I also the "we will ship to you the week of 29 May" email.
I thought from lots of messages on the various forms that the Newark numbers were sequential. If that is true, I'm somewhere about 1,000 orders before you and have yet to have any details.

So, it moved to 29 May the next day (18 May)
and then back to 8 June today (25 May)
.
...and now to 18 June (26 May)

Stop the roller coaster; I wanna get off!
