How about posting confirmation numbers when people receive their R-Pi's. That should give us some idea of expected delivery time.
Example: My Conf # is 191353. I saw a post that 160xxx has received his. That gives me about 31K to go.

Two months is a lot of time to have things cleared up. I've been in my personal "war" with Farnell Sapin just to know what was happening with my order (apart from the forced bank tranfers to unlock the orders) because it had de order number changed lots of days before.
RS is giving low profile updates but, at least, are not letting people "order" meaning not an order but a "pre-order" and a strange way to handle the "first come, first serve" rule they were ment to follow.
Huh, today i receive an email from element14 that my order# 1691XX placed on Feb 29 will be shipped begining of June 18, 2012. But the system shows the order was accepted on March 1, 2012. Yeah my custom ordered computer did not take this long.
I have already ordered the cases from ModmyPi and they are scheduled to be delivered(in May) earlier than the board.
Frankly, I do not believe any of those dates regarding shipping that show up on your order. Because it has changed from Apr 1st week, May 11, June 11, and now on Aug 11 - until I received an email today stating as Jun 18. I still do not believe this until I see the product in my hand. In the past I had received similar emails only to hear that it will be updated later and not to worry about the Ship date. This is nothing but BS and these guys have no idea on how to market and provide an ETA to their customers.
Surprisingly the email now says order your accessories and receive 15% on all Pi-accessories when they have none. LOL
It would help if people posting in this thread stated their country, as it then makes it easier to compare order status, shipping dates etc.
I am in the UK and although I ordered my Raspberry Pi on 7th March I have not yet received a firm delivery date.
My order status still just shows received, and all I have been told is that I will receive mine by the end of June.
I am also UK and ordered mine on the 8th of March straight after from receiving an email from Farnell about future stocking this particular product.
Thanks... It does look as if we have both received similar information.
However I am sure I have read some posts from customers who ordered only a day or two earlier, and who have already been given late May delivery dates.
Hopefully though Element 14 will receive more than one delivery each month, so we might even get ours a bit earlier!
Hi
I'm located in Australia and I placed my order on 29/02 at 1150 GMT eventually getting a web page that wasnt random text al over the place.
I have had no comunication regarding delivery dates (Emails to sales appear to have been ignored) until 27/4 one arrived stating:
"Having successfully passed its CE compliance testing, we can now confirm that your Raspberry Pi will be dispatched week commencing 4-Jun-12."
My colleague managed to order one by phone order 3 hours earlier recieved his 25/4. so there is no logic (Orpr in delivery
If it arrives soonn it will be a bonus.
another thing crossed my mind over the weekend, has anyone heard anything abut their free gift?? i re-read my email and there was nothing mentioned about it??
For the first week after launch (at least) everyone who ordered was promised a free tee shirt, and the size was even noted on the order details, but so far as I am aware no one has actually received one yet.
Hopefully they will be sent out 'en masse' at a later date.
I received the following email update from Element14:
"Dear TheMonkeyKing,
We're excited to inform you that your Raspberry Pi will be delivered in an upcoming shipment beginning the week of June 18th. We will have your firm delivery date, after manufacturer confirmations are made, on Newark.com. If you don't have all the accessories you need for your Raspberry Pi, please take advantage of this 15% off coupon on your next purchase from Newark.com." (Note: 15% off orders of $75 USD or more, only)
Now if this is true, it will be 80+ days since my March 2 order (which I'm still pretty miffed at). But Element14 did send me the purchase link two days after launch day day. However, I only receive update emails from RS telling me they've let another 4000 or so people order the Pi and by the way, thank you for your patience. I still haven't been allowed to order from them and I put my name in for ordering on launch day, too.
So yeah, I'll believe it when I have it my hands. And it is frustrating to know that this could have been done much better, but for now, I'm playing with the Acer Iconia A500. It received the Ice Cream Sandwich update last week. (I wondered which would come first...)
