New Shipping dates

GreenYamo
GreenYamo over 14 years ago

Looking at the Pi forum and also from personal experience, it looks like Farnell have just released another set of mails with shipping dates, ranging from early May (W/C 7th in my case) to W/C 28th May, so if you haven't received an e-mail yet, it may be worth checking your spam/ junk mail folder.

Pleased as I only got a mail last weekend, stating a W/c 4th June shipping date...but as ever, I'll wait until it is in my hand until I believe it :-)

    *** WARNING *** BLOOD BOILING *** WARNING ***

Why does this happen?  Why would people be getting their RPi order processed from orders in March when people who ordered on launch day still show Backordered?!!!!

    Jenny...what's going on?

    Kevin,

      You might try twittering element14.

That's where Jennifer H, their "professional apologizer",

has been looking up people's order numbers recently.

    http://twitter.com/#!/element14/status/204550990509260801

element14's customer support apparently depends on 3 Jennifers:

Jenny Peters fielding inquiries on the RPi.org site, Jennifer Bilec-Sullivan

maintaining the FAQ here, and Jennifer H fielding inquiries on twitter.

The foundation similarly seems to depend on 3 Liams.

    Coder27,

Thanks for the information.  I haven't been a twitter person, just looking at archived feeds for things that interest me. I've signed up and followed element14 but I can't send a message. Once again in a loop of waiting for someone from element14 to listen to me so I can ask a question. It's not like I ever get a response from other methods. I've sent questions directly to Newark Canada on their site, no answer. I've asked for a status update on the RPi.org forums, seems that Jenny stopped responding two weeks ago.

You'd think that if some Farnell customers in the world are already getting shipping information that those other customers that ordered before them would have some.  As a minimum they should be able at least give a global update.

'The Foundation similarly seems to depend on three Liams' completely cracked me up as it is so true, thank you Coder for an early morning laugh :-)

    Steve,

you should have heard Jennifer H complaining about having to learn

how to spell Drew's name.  That cracked me up.
