Hi All!
I have been watching the posts here and elsewhere about the delivery dates for the RPi. All I can say is this:
1. Nobody obviously anticipated such a huge volume of orders.
2. With such a huge volume, it defies the capabilities of even the best of worldclass ordering systems.
3. Logistically, filling orders through three different outlets from limited shipments is a balancing act extroidinair!
4. These are $35 boards and not $600 PC's. It's not like these folks have the same level of service as HP or Dell.
In short, cut them some slack! Whether you ordered yesterday or two months ago, eventually you will get your order. Don't even expect that somebody can tell you where you are on a list or when you will receive your order. You may not get it until September. Deal with it! While you are waiting, find something else to do with your time and imagination. Lighten up and and look at is as surprise that is going to happen sometime in the future. Think about creative things to do with it when you receive it. Just do us all a favor and quit obsessing about where you are on a fictitional list, when it will be delivered, and don't get all frustrated when someone else announces that they have received there order.
It's fine to compare delivery dates against order dates but it means absolutely nothing. Because this is a human ordering system, it's all mostly chance anyway so be patient.
